make it a festival with gifted and such, the original idea is interesting but no one would bother to come up with build for just one day even it ifs one day a week. /no signed for the original idea, /signed for the festival idea.

A good God event would have something to do with fun quests and activities that has something to do with that specific God. Buffs and add-ons are just too much to ask.

I suggest:
God Mode day: Everyone has all attributes set to 21, casting time/attack speed/recharge increase by 50%, automatic gain of a q9 Crystalline and Amethyst Aegis, Mini Ghostly hero....

@ OP: What would be more interesting is having celebrations....ie Lyssa/Dwayna sometime in spring, Balthazar in summer, etc...with a few special party items/drinks/sweets...but nothign expensive like Polar Bear or ppl will farm ALL WEEKEND even more than they do now.

I think you are on the right track but asking the wrong thing.

June or May would be a good time to have this.

We have been talking about an event in August in the Frog Days of Summer topic which is just the GG farewell event moved to August and renamed.

I think Balthazar's Day should be a PvP event the rewards are already set up but have been removed:

PvP has no events so I think this might help people try it out even open up all areas for the event. IE remove the 5 wins to progress past the random arena and make all areas open for the weekend or maybe give one of the priest the ability to transport you to an area like they do with the guard to the Deep and Urgoz's.

The way we need to look at asking for more events is looking at older ones they no longer run.

There are 3 months that have no events and at least 4 events I can think of that are no longer being used.

Those events are:

GG Farewell
Day of the Tengu
Guild Wars Nightfall PvP Preview Event
Visit Eye of the North for the Holidays (they may rerun this one will not know until December)

Now we can ask for new holidays which will create more work and that may cause them to say no, but if we take it from a perspective to where it is something that they already have the work done for and could implement it easily then they might go for it.

Personally I'd like to see a Balthazar's day event call it Battlefest weekend or The Balthazar Celebration or what ever and reuse the GW Nightfall PvP event.

I'd also like to see a EotN event and they could spice up the Visit the Eye Event but move it to one of the months that doesn't have something going on or leave it where it is.

That leaves the Tengu celebration for one of the unused months. I admit it needs some work like opening up the boardwalk and traders, but it is there and could be reused.

If these suggestions were carried out there would be no reason not to have an Event every month.

I think it would also be neat if the quest at one of the events, had a difficult final boss that would actually require an organized full team of players to take on, wiht a neat reward at the end. Also teams that clear it the fastest could get another reward or sumthin
Fighting an Avatar of Balthazar would seem kinda cool to me....
